If you remember Ankita Lokhande as the demure girl from Pavitra Rishta, then here’s something that will completely blow your mind! While we have seen many actresses shedding their quintessential bahu image in the past, this time around we see Ankita shedding her de-glam avatar. The actress shared one of her glamorous photoshoots in which she features in the 60s inspired look.

In fact, it was in her captions, where Ankita Lokhande mentioned that all of this deck-up is a part of her tribute to Helenji. Helen, who is known for her dances in Bollywood films, has many hits like ‘Piya Tu’ (Caravan), ‘Mehbooba Mehbooba’ (Sholay), ‘Mungda’ (Inkaar) amongst others to her credit. In her latest photos, however, Ankita donned a look inspired by Helen’s much popular cabaret avatar.

In the next picture, the actress revealed that she has not only donned Helen’s avatar but has also put on her dance shoes. Ankita gave a glimpse of her dance performance on stage in this picture. She also added a caption to it saying, “She always watched the world through glittering eyes. She saw everything sparkle like starry night skies. And sometimes when her world become a little dimmer. That was when she knew It was her turn to shimmer #retro#tributetohelenji.”

Not divulging further details, Ankita posted all these pictures on her Instagram page. On the film front, the actress has been planning on making a Bollywood debut since a long time. After many offers, she was finally roped in for the Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi. The actress is said to play the key role of Jhalkarbai, one of the closest associates of Rani Laxmibai who takes command of the Jhansi army.
